If you are receiving this error after upgrading your magento store to the latest 1.8 version, don’t scare that all would be fine
PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Mage_Googlecheckout_Helper_Data’ not found in /home/user/public_html/app/Mage.php on line 547
The solution to solve this error is as followes
Go to this directory on your magento installed location
and then delete all the files in that location except config.xml
The files that must be removed are as followes:
config.xml
system.xml
wsdl.xml
wsi.xml
Than you are fine
